“It’s all pretty impressive, especially considering he’s only 23 years old.”

—  George Underwood (of ‘The Bournemouth Rock’, Student Union newspaper)

“It’s rare to see someone, even among the biggest stars, so engrossed in almost every aspect of it [music production and promotion], and I think we’ll definitely be hearing more from Adam in the future.”

—  ‘Rock and Troll’

“Whether or not he is Poole’s ninth favourite musician… I think it’s a safe bet he’s the area’s busiest.”

Song-writer, musician and producer Adam Scholey hails from South England, half-way between Poole and Bournemouth.

With previous incarnations, his music has fringed the BBC‘s soundtrack archives; seen involvement with the Bournemouth Pavilion, Bournemouth BIC, O2 Academy, ITV/Channel 4‘s Planet Sound, direct affiliates of Sky One‘s Pineapple Dance Studios, the south-wide Talentcall UK contest final, BBC Radio Solent , Scandanavia’s Eskemo Radio, FutureMusic magazine, Daily Echo, Listed magazine, Computer Music magazine, live performances in Leicester Square, and heaps of similar but marginally less notable exposure.

Having spent several years founding various hard rock bands of raucous energy; Adam’s ten year strong solo work combines mellower elements of Bowling For Soup, Idlewild, Embrace, Relient K, Angels & Airwaves, James, Scouting For Girls, OneRepublic, and everyone in between to create something power pop-flavoured, yet punk-tinted.

His debut commercial release is well underway:

‘Sounds Like Demos: Part 1’, a free 6-track download, is available now, while ‘Part 2’ sees digital release on 18th June via iTunes, HMV, Spotify, and Amazon, as well as on CD. Although he recorded the material at just 16 years old on “very cheap, brittle and contra-Abbey Road equipment before [he] really knew what sound quality, depth, clarity, width, balance, music, ears, criticism or reality were”, it represents an era of creation still close to his heart.

‘Sounds Like Adam’s first full-length album, featuring brand new, piano-centric and guitar-tinged material, has been pencilled in for a late 2012 release.

Adam will be performing a set of piano renditions of his material at Wave 105’s “Cash For Kids” fund-raiser on

30th June, and is available for interviews, PAs and musical collaborations.

At long last, a decade’s-worth of pent-up pop melody, artistry and contemplation says hello to lots of ears, so that the artistry and the ears can now have tea parties and things together.
